The  Evolution Dome Team has developed a new wave battery solution for its Temporary inflatable Structures with help from the team at Callidus.

The solution has been designed and built to match the specific needs of our structures. The SPB-6500 bespoke battery units can be charged either via solar power or by a traditional generator, making them completely reliable in any conditions, with considerable energy saving either way.

All inflatable structures require a 24-hour power supply. Traditionally this would come from a generator running 24/7 or a venue mains feed to install it and keep it inflated for the duration of an event. The SPB-6500 battery packs can support a structure for up to 14 hours without any power input and can fully recharge in 90 minutes via a generator.

Of course, if the sun is shining, that 87.5 percent energy saving becomes 100 percent.

“The only downside to an inflatable is its constant power requirement and with the battery unit, we have come up with a foolproof sustainable solution,”

“Inflatable structures are very efficient anyway, the air cavity in the walls means they are the most cost-effective and sustainable structures on the market to both heat and cool, they pack down small so are effective to transport, this offering takes it to the next level.”

“This batter power initiative is the next step,” Austin explains. “We all need to take the next step to promote and provide a sustainable solution. Should that be AV, Power, or Structures”

The battery packs are tailored to the structure they are providing for and, far in advance of other power sources, they fit in a flight case, making for much easier, much more efficient, transport to site.

The first units are in service already and we will be adding to this throughout 2022
