Client Brief
GFW22 wanted to create a space with Catwalks, Live Talks, Showcase’s, and Exhibitions for the 4-day event.
Objective
The solution needed to be large enough to house the events requirements but also work within the size constrictions of the site. The structures would need to be able to be effectively air-conditioned given the June dates.
The structures would be used to house
– 15x Catwalk Shows
– 10x Industry Talks in GFW Live
– The GFW Dome Presentation Hall
– GFW Exhibition
– GFW X CDY Retail Trail
– Daily Award Shows
– 40x fashion films on the GFW Live Stream
The Results
The Structures were a huge success with great feedback from both the event organisers and Coal Drops Yard’s owners.
A typical structure of the size would require 4-6 days of build, with cranes and plants moving around, creating an impact on residents, local businesses, and the general public. This entire setup with built in just one day using one forklift and a team of 12 people.
The organisers are already in talks for the 2023 event.
